Wrecked My MSP...

yah, i'm fine. gave me a heck of a shake (shaken, not stirred). it was more just disappointing and embarrasing than anything as i had to sit there and watch people drive by staring at me. if they total the car and i have access to any of the parts i will let you know. dealership ordered a whole new front end from a MSP in california. they don't actually know what they are getting so that can't tell me anything more until it arrives, which they think will be friday. i'll keep everyone updated.
 
looks al lot like my wreck (completely different circumstances) but the damages looks to be about the same minus the suspension.

it sucks...took FOREVER to get my car back. i think i had around 8k or 8500 in damage.

It looks like you hit a little too high to hit the air bag sensor. Mine went off just fine when I T-boned a van.

Why did they order a front end, did they already make a determination?

Sorry to hear about the crash!!! I wish they didn't total my pumpkin!
 
no, downhill, it was the on ramp onto the highway. the road i was coming off of was an overpass.
 
so as of 30 minutes ago, they are officially repairing it. total repair cost to date: $10,075. Cost to total the car: $10,700. Insanity. Anyways, the good news being this Mazdaspeed aint dead! Long live number 716!!! I'm happy it's not gone because I had been doing some car shopping and it was driving me insane. I am definitely not ready to get rid of this ride.

sorry about the speed but at least your ok and damn 15k isnt bad for the lost of a car like these.
 
Sorry about your ride man, but 15k would be nice. About the airbags...well you probably just hit too high to set them off. I rear ended a pickup and mine never went off because it was from the bottom of the upper grille and up, but you seem to have hit quite a bit lower than that.
 
yeah that looks a lot like the damage mine recieved minus the suspension and my bill was $9k in the end. but it took me 2 months total to get it back. hopefully yours will go faster (make DAMN sure those guys understand that just because it looks like a protege not ALL protege parts fit! I had a hell of a time explaining why they ****** up ordering the wrong radiator and it only made me getting my car back take much longer)
 
just as a quick update, i should be getting my car back on thursday. hopefully it will be running and feeling good!

Did they total it yet? You could allways turn around and have a built MSP by the weekend if you wanted a yellow one? *hint hint*
 
nope, didnt total, or i prolly would be driving a sprinting banana! lol, but gotta love the gray! here are pics as of today. its being repaired at woodhouse mazda on L street.
