during my 45K dealer insp at TYRONE MAZDA they put my shifter back to stock!!!!!


that was 2 months ago
I have the rotus redrill upgrade which moves the attachment point for the fore and aft throw

the bolt is back in the stock location

I did not do that
they said nothin to me

can I trust these guys ??

thought I could, now....... trust em more ? or trust em less?

Trust? maybe, maybe not, more like no though. Your lucky they didn't just void ur warranty while they were putting you back to stock.

what do you need a dealer for anyway? ur warranty is prob almost up now, what r u around 50k atm? everything will break at 60001 miles, not before. unless you have a 100k warranty, then find another dealer.

My fingers are greasy and I am realizin this **** spent some time finding the right allen wrench to remove the loctited screw retaining the nicely drilled and tapped shifyer ball, popped the ball, pt back in the stock hole, replaced the screw, and said s***

i bought mine used too, 13k on the ODO, im at 45k now(i might add in an 11 month period, i need to stop driving this car so much)

just **** it, find another dealer and if you cant, tell them at the dealer to not touch the car other than what your issue is, if they say we wont do it without taking you back to stock, then you do it yourself and take it back to them.

I find this whole thing hard to believe. I know all the people at this dealership very well and this WOULD NOT happen there. As a matter of fact, im going to make a phone call and find out. I have had my car there multiple times, with a lot more mods than yourself and never had an issue. They even drained my catch can for no charge at my last visit. good people that dont need this crap.


BTW OP.

Do you have a fart can on your MS3, because i saw a BM MS3 with one at the riverview park last thursday and wasnt sure if it was you.

I did the mod a long time ago, but after a careful check of emails and posts, I can say for sure I did the shifter mod AFTER the ferman trip. so, has to be tyrone. I'm lookin at the service sheet and the tech is listed as 90013

Got my MS3 at Tyrone, I'm due for my 1st oil change in a week or two so it'll be my 1st time with their service dept. No mods yet so nothing to worry about.

I had an RX7 years ago, when they were Lyndel Mazda. My clutch went out exactly 2 days after my warrenty expired and they covered 50% of it (after some streneous bitching).

Hopefully they are going to be good to deal with, I expect to keep this car for a while.
