Wow stock motor mounts suck

I took of the awr front to go back to stock in prep for selliing the car. Now that im back on stock mounts i can see how shot all the other rubbers are. When i back outta my parking spot my motor jumps and clicks and rocks like its ready to jump out from under the hood. And when Im tearin up the twisties and i get on the power i get these horibble surges and hesitations. Now i know why i changed the front mount. But all the other mounts seem to be shot too. My motor is almost sitting on the transmission crossmember. It knocks on it when i do a 3k take off. Oh well. Glad im tading it in at Mazda. I hope they fix it before they sell it. Extended warranty hasnt done crap to get them to fix it while I own it.

or it could be that the stock motor mounts where just shot anyway or not enough torque was used, small mistakes happen like that.(shrug)

anyway, whatcha trading it in for?

Its a do it yourself project. The front is amazingly easy. The rear is much more complicated. If i were to put all new mounts in (if i was going to keep the car) i would pay someone to change all 4 of em. Im going to be trading it in for a speed3. Im glad i waited to get a new car. I get tired of my rides after about 4 years and need something new to pique my interest and love. The p5 has been a gogd car but its little "character flaws" have left me bored. Im sure the speed3 will keep me happy for a number of years. A little better engineering and a more solid platform will make it easier to live with. At least IMHO.

Yep, they sure do. They were the first thing I replaced on my car. I recently put the stock front one one, because I'm also going back to stock. Wow, they are horrible. The slop is immense. Mine actually flopped around enough to allow the exhaust hit the heatshield into the shifter.

yeah my front motormount was torn when I put my AWR motor mounts on, the dealer does replace the mounts though if you bring it in and tell them
