worth the hassle???

Ya know if the grill material is actually aluminum, it won't rust like steel atleast not the same color. Aluminum Oxide is white and brittle. So if you get a light coating of white powdery looking film just use a brass brush and it'll come of real easy. If it's not aluminum then you could have just gone to Home Depot or Lowes and bought the same stuff for less. And I'm not totally sure but Lowes and Home Depot may even have the Aluminum. What I want is the grill material that was used on my WW hood so all my grills match.

CF is the way to go it cost me $185 but it was worth it since it is stronger and lighter than fiberglass. Some people where complaining on a different thread that fiberglass grilles were cracking due to flex.

Actually CF will crack too. the Cracks are in the resin. Most CF uses the same resin as fiberglass. The only difference between CF and Fiberglass is the reinforcing material glass fibers or carbon fibers. Atleast that's my understanding from the people I worked with on my CF roof. Probably one of the best people to ask would be the DGM people since they work with both.
