I also think the new Volvo XC60 will win this one, beautiful car with an engine to back it up.
The Kia Stinger looks pretty good, for a Kia. 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cyl engine, 255 hp and 260 lb.-ft. of torque or 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, 365 hp and 376 lb.-ft. of torque.

This is great for two reasons... for what's in the list, and just as important... for what's not even a candidate :)

I think I know where you are going with this.

Starting in 2005, the World Car of the Year top 10 has been dominated by:
Audi 17 top ten vehicles
BMW 12 top ten vehicles
Mercedes 11 top ten vehicles
Mazda 11 top ten vehicles
Lexus/Toyota 8 top ten vehicles
Volkswagen 7 top ten vehicles
Porsche 6 top ten vehicles

Land Rover, Citreon, Jaguar, Volvo, and Ford also had multiple top 10 nominations.

Honda made it in the top ten 3 times with the 2006 and 2017 Civic and the 2009 Fit.
Acura has never made the top ten for World Car of the Year, but the NSX was nominated for Performance Car of the Year in 2017.

"Eligible cars are all those that have been launched and gone on sale in the past year, and must be available in at least two continents. Innovation is an important aspect, part of the point of the awards being to encourage the advance of car design and engineering."
