Won't believe what happened to my new MSP

That's a pretty raw deal. I've had more than a few myself, and that's what pushed me to learn about cars. I got burned twice trying to get the 455 in my Trans Am built. I gave up and built it my damn self, and it worked out great. Don't even think about owning an MSP and always trusting any shop or the dealer to look out for your best interests. Without any knowledge of the MSP, you won't even know what your best interests are.

Reliable Imports (yeah, right) in Springfield, MO sold me my MSP with 8k miles on it. I bought it based only on pics and a clean Carfax. They were clear that I wanted a perfectly unmolested example of a Spicy MSP, and that's what they "sold" me. What I got was a car with a BOV (still like it) and a manual boost controller. This is from a huge Mazdaspeed dealer, while under warranty and after a supposedly huge inspection before it was put back up for sale. To top it off, I picked it up after dark and didn't know until after I drove it back to TN that the damn thing had been wrecked and repainted in the front. So much for a perfect low-mileage example. Lying fuckers. At least the engine is still very solid after 66k miles now (and stock boost).

The moral? There is only one person I fully trust with any car I own, and that's me. Most of us on here are the same way for the same reasons.

an imported 1.8L FS-DE which will have lower miles.

sorry to ask but this engine is a direct bolt on for everything? i mean the turbo and all others thing will work?

i bet the oil lines won't.. but thats an easy fix. just tee off from the oil sensor.
