wonky auto headlights?

hi all,

i'm still getting used to my 2014 CX-9 AWD GT (i bought it as CPO in Feb). i noticed the auto headlights seem to think it's a lot darker out than it really is and turns on headlights way way early. so early that sometimes with my touch screen in night mode, i can't see nothin' on it. yeah, i know i can switch the screen to manual mode or turn off headlights but that kinda defeats the purpose of having auto. anybody know if this is a setting that the dealer or someone can adjust? anybody else have this issue before?

I thought there was a way to get the to a settings mode, but I never tried it and it looked like a lot of steps--search around this forum. Plus, I like it on a more sensitive setting. I usually have the IP in day mode at night anyway.
