Some money just came in that I wasn't expecting until next year. Of course, it's going to my car, and I'm thinking my best buy right now would be clutch/flywheel and motormounts.

What does everyone else think?

That sounds like a good Idea with your mods. But if you add some Tires to your list. You could do some great burn outs prior to changing your clutch and get them on video.(laugh) Or even just do some hard runs at a track. OK it's not my car though. I was thinking you might like those motor mounts too. I got mine I just have to drive 4500 miles to Florida to get them. :D So many cool parts to buy never enough money.

Cool burn outs are fun but you might want to wait until day before install. That way if you burn your clutch you got a new one any ways. Man such evil thoughts but it just sounds fun. (laugh)

I'll probably pass on the burnout fun. :) I have a feeling with my luck I'd probably break and axel or something! haha

Just ordered my Faulkens- will get them installed on Tuesday!

I agree with not going to crazy the luck around this forum has not been great as of recent. Let us know how the Falkens ride, I was going to look into those. Which model did you end up with?

The 512's... Same specs as the dunlops but MUCH better tires. They were 124$ a piece from discount, + I get their awesome warantee's which is a heaven sent if you ask me. I'm pretty hard on my tires.

Just a side note, the MP5 uses 24mm axles IIRC and the Probe SE's use 22mm's..... well many guys with Probe se's have run ~45-55 shots and held their axles just fine, point: they should be just fine ;)

Very true... I highly doubt I'd break and axel while burning out. But I take all the safe roads with my girl (car)..

Running at 8psi I doubt I'd do anything at all.:)

Go ahead and add some Redline tranny fluid to your list, you will be able to tell the difference. I know that sometimes going from first to second can be a B!TCH, this will eliminate that problem. Ooh and good luck witht the clutch, flywheel and motormounts. From a experience I can say that if you are going to put the clutch and motor mounts in yourself, they are both a pain in the a$$. That rear motor mount is a BIG PAIN IN the A$$. Good luck

I agree! Get some Redline Super Lightweight Shock Proof Tranny fluid. I have this stuff, and I have yet to get a crunched gear!

Tranny Fluid!!! Will do!

Would anyone believe me if I told them my car runs off tang instead of gas? Off to Jack in the Box. Damn ADD...

I know it's barely been a week but some of my plans have changed as far as mods go.

1. Getting the Faulken 512's put on tomorrow.
2. Motomounts within next two weeks
3. Plan on sending my downpipe, turbo housings, and manifold to get ceramic coated silver.
4. Clutch/Flywheel and LSD all in one punch.
5. Reprogrammed ECU w/ larger injectors

:)

Sounds good hope it all works, sometimes it helps to discuss it huh. Looks like your the man with a plan now.

Did you mean to put the Mazdaspeed Protege has 24mm axles??

The Protege sedan / 5 / MP3 all run 22mm axles...The only Protege running 24 mm axles is the Mazdaspeed variety.

Correct, I am new to the Protege world, sorry If I am confusing, the MSprotege uses 24mm axles IIRC.

Ok, I finally have put in my new tranny fluid. I haven't driven it yet but the process wasn't too bad... Although, I bought the lightweight shockproof and not the super lightweight. The stuff I got was blue. What is the difference between the superlight and just the lightweight?

I got those falken's put on like 2 weeks ago. They ride ok. Just make sure the tire shop doesnt steal your valve stem caps like they stole mine. They said they would replace them but dude they're 10 bucks a piece. Rip off... (nuts) And make sure when they balance the tires when they remove the old weights they remove the old glue holding them on.

Viscosity. The lightweigh may give you some NEGLIGABLE HP LOSS not worth worrying about.
