2003 Mazda Protege' 5
Greetings and Salutations!

Thanks to Lord_Zath for the invitation to the site here.

I recently bought my second Mazda in my life time. Funny enough, both have been Proteges'. The first was a 1996 Protege LX sedan. It was that funky green color. The second (and current) is a 2003 Protege' 5 Midnight Blue 5 speed. It's loaded, including the moonroof/6cd and subwoofer package. It has the polished aluminum wheels as well. It came with a Yakama Bike Rack with center cage. I've taken off the center cage and the two bike racks themselves but have left the crossbars on for a sporty look. The only problem with that is the wind noise produced when I have the moonroof open.

So, I live in SE Wisconsin (Racine) and work in Lake Villa, IL at Rosen Mazda. Yes, I am one of THOSE people, I sell cars. Though, I'm not here to sell you one, unless you want me to!

I'm interested in promoting the new Mazdas here in the group as well as at any meets I may be able to attend. I'd be more than happy to bring a couple of the new Mazdas like the MS6 and the new MX-5 to meets for you all to check out. Let me know what you think of this idea.

I hope to get to know many of you! I'm looking into working on my MP5, but have no idea and limited funds to start. Please, any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Matt

We've seen that combination before with tragic results.....tragic.

I was trying to find big swiss cheese wheels for my MP5, but I was told that the traction wasn't all that great!:bs:

Exactly what kind of bike rack is it? Do you know the model number?

Are you looking to sell it? I'm going to buy a cheap 2-bike rack in the next few weeks, but haven't done enough research on the subject.

I live in Schaumburg, IL and will be commuting to Madison in 2 weeks...

James
