CX-5 Winter tires on stock 17 inch Miata wheels?
Just got a new CX-5 AWD GT and am considering getting a set of winter tires instead of running the stock 19" wheels and tires in all the mud, salt, etc. .........
Anyway, I put a set of wider Enkei PF01 wheels on my 06 MX-5 Miata so I've got a set of the stock 17x7 Miata alum. wheels. I know the Miata wheels are a bit lighter than the stock 17" CX-5 wheels and there is a slight difference in offset (55mm vs. 50MM, I believe) but bolt circle and width are the same. Does anyone know if the hub center bore is the same for both?
If I can use the Miata wheels, I'd go with 225/65 winter tires on them. Already understand about the TPMS (wheel rev counting/comparison) system used on the CX-5, so that shouldn't be an issue. Assuming everything else matches up, any reasons I shouldn't pursue this approach??
Thanks!
