i just wanted to say i love my winter tires. First time i've had a car with them and holy s*** does it make winter driving much more enjoyable, anyone else from minnesota enjoying this pounding of snow we are getting.

just got home from work and had to use my ma's truck cuz i dont get my winter tires on until thursday- what kind did you get?

yeah what kind are you guys working w/ , i'm looking to either get winter ones or high perf. all weather/season tires.

I'm running the Falken Ze512's on some Flik wheels. I find that they work fine in the snow. They're not a dedicated snow tire, but they are a good all-season tire like you mentioned.

CTC Goodyear 'Nordics' on 16" M5 alloys.
None of those 'fugly ghetto steelies' for me ! (10)

For those of you running 15' steelie's...I read somewhere that we couldn't run 15's on the msp because of brake size. Obviously that false if you guys are running them. What model car are they from?? Are they just base model protege steel rims?

yes sir i just went on tirerack searched under protege ES and got the blizzaks and steelies... the ws-50's were on closeout so they were only $77 a piece plus i got a $50 gift card for buying four of them.

holy sh*t! how much did you pay for that setup? i configured the same thing on tire rack (protege ES?) and it came out to almost $500 ($550 after shipping charges)!!! that seems like an awful lot to me but i guess it's worth it? discount tire direct has wheels and tires for under 3 bills with free shipping

scratch taht.... discount had a deal going on with $50 off wheels and another $50 off tires, but now they're done with that i guess (should've ordered earlier damnit!) but it's still cheaper, only $392 with free shipping

i got metal spiked tires.. there legal here.. you should see what it does on ice. ;)

Not in Minnesota, but being in Illinois right now sucks.

I've found that being in Illinois sucks anytime.

I'm still waiting for a good snow fall to test out my 15" Hankook iPike W409 non-studded tires.

Well we are getting over a foot of right now here in Montreal. One hell of a nice snowstorm. I have Toyo 185/65-15 GO2+ on steelies and I love them.
Especially when I'm passing a bunch of cars and SUVs on 4-season tires going up a hill.

I have 185-65-15 Gislaved Nordfrost 5's on MX6 rims.

15's definitely fit the MSP, but the MX6 rims just, and I mean just, clear the calipers.

how about 215-50-17 on stock rims, continental ContiextremeContact ??
what yo think about this set of tires on stock rims. they rated ultra performance all season though.
any doubt about the size of tires ??
lmk
