Hi folks,
First, sorry - I did a search but the winter tire threads seemed to be dominated by MS6 owners, so.... mod, please feel free to merge the thread somewhere if you feel it is appropriate.
Newbie M6 wagon owner, and have just installed a set of winter tires and rims. I went from the stock 17" to 16" 205/60-R16, electing the Nokian Hakkapeliitta Rs on 16" black steel rims. So far, a very smooth ride, with slighly loud tire noise and a slight decrease in sharpness on turn-in.
We haven't had much in the way of winter weather yet this year, which for northern Alberta is bizarre, but it's certainly below 6C most of the time, so the top end of when to move to winter tires.
Interestingly, I tried to get the Michelin X-Ice XI2s but they seem in VERY short supply this year. One of the dealers said it was if they made them through the month of August and then told the plant that they don't expect it to snow this year...
Anyone else look at or install these?
