The icon and description of the windshield wiper fluid is shown in the users manual.
However, I have never seen it. Perhaps it is just not on the GT model?
Anyone know?

I also have the GT but its not there... Maybe its on the Base or Touring models? :'(

Not in the Sport! Got caught in a minnesota ice storm/blizzard with NO wiper fluid!! Anybody seen the light?

I hate to say it but...It really seems like Mazda cut a lot of corners on the CX-7 (auxillary input?)... Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my CX-7, but anybody get what I mean?

All I have to do is look at the carpet & I get what you mean. I can work around the other minor annoyances, but the carpet is there to stay, at least 'til it rubs off.

To get back on topic, I've never seen a light for the washer fluid. But I've never had a car that had one so I don't expect it or rely on it. I was just thrilled by the tire pressure monitors, after the bad tire karma I've had over the last couple years. Oops, off topic again, so quick.

Otherwise, I too love this car. it makes me happy every time i walk up to it and especially every time i drive it.

(bringin it back from the dead!)

Noticed that it's IN THE OWNERS MANUAL that there should be a low washer level indicator in the cluster.

Had a customer in with a concern that her light never came on. Thinking that it was a trim level issue (she had a Sport also), I told her mine was the same and only the GT must have it. Looked in the parts catalog and sure enough, there's a listing for a LARGE WASHER TANK that has a sensor in the bottom of it.

Curiously though, neither part number is valid. Looks like they did cheap out, and forgot to take it out of the catalog as well as the manual.

Oh well.

At least we're all in the same boat. (sad1)

I have working level indicator in my GT - when the fluid stops coming out for the rear window, but still coming out for the front one - this mean fluid level is very low (headbang) (headbang) (headbang)

Sheesh, no washer fluid indicator...

I just had the same experience...my rear window fluid stopped working, then today the front. No indicator light. Tsk tsk.

My 12-year-old Miata has one, works great. It's just odd the choices they made in getting CX-7's to market. Ditto on the aux-input, no MP3 capability in these cars, when other Mazda models have had / have them.

Just another item for the oil-change checklist, I guess..."top up washer fluid". At least it holds a lot.

Not enough for my wife. I swear she's drinking it. I can go 3000 dirty wintery miles with my Vic and the bottle'll be half empty. Hers is empty every other week it seems.

Another thing - Maybe because Mazda's not an American company and they use metric measurements or something... BUT... with my Chrysler: When the low-fluid light came on, I could buy a U.S. Gallon of wiper fluid and EMPTY the entire gallon into the vehicle with room to spare.

With the CX-7... even when bone-dry, it will not hold a U.S. Gallon... so you must buy the fluid, pour-in about 3/5-3/4 of the fluid, re-cap the bottle and save the remainder in you vehicle... as opposed to buying it, empty-in the whole thing and throw-away the jug.

It's the SMALL things. :)

My parent's Ford Focus sedan and my Mustang both had smaller than a gallon windshield washer tanks. Their mini van had a separate tank for the rear wiper so I think between the 2 you could drain a gallon, but I'm not 100% on that one.

I think it has more to do with how much room they have under the hood for the tank.
