Hi,

i have a cracked windshield (damn the rain and trucks) i was just wondering if the mazda warranty covers this in replacing the glass i have heard that the mazda sevice is rather bad and sometimes doesnt honor the warranty like they should...so any thoughts on this would be great...thanks

no but your insurence will, at least in flrida since it's illegal to drive with a cracked windshild, no deductable either

If it is shorter than the length of a dollar bill it is repairable and cheap and I think your insurance will cover it. If it is longer, you are probably ******. My insurance "covers" my cracked windshield with a 500 deductable. So yeah, it's not getting fixed anytime soon.

awwww damn...my crack is basicly from top to bottom :( wel i guess ill check with insurance so wak...well anyway thanks everyone for all your help...Peace...

You can have a new one put in for about $190. Done this once on my wife's P5 already, though we didn't have to pay for it as it was a city garbage truck that wasn't properly covered that caused it. She's going to have to replace it again as she just had a stone kicked up by a tour bus put a nice dine size chip in it and we don't want to fill it as it's right in front of her so it'll still be seen even when filled.

Mine cracked on my way in today. Its 2 months old.

3rd windshield to break.

If it is a stress crack ,you can try to take it in for warranty work. They will probably bs you and tell you it was an impact anyways though. Like my crack, it just appeared one morning, no rocks hit my windshield or anything. But they run the ballpoint pen over the crack and if there is even the slightest notch along the crack, then they say it was a rock. I think that test is bulls*** though, since glass can also chip along a crack, so it's not necessarily an imapct point. Not to mention I have seen a couple other MSP's with the exact same crack as me, and the same story.

my weather stripping was coming out on mine and they said they would replace it except for the fact that i did not know it has already been replaced so that sux my g/f has had hers done 3 times as alreadyim waiting until mine cracks so i can get a new one with insurance company

Geico insurance, Texas

peepsalot mine was the same. The crack even grew before my eyes. It ended up being 5 inches long and of course the ball point pen check found a nick on the crack line. They wouldn't warrenty mine but luckily my insurance company has a deal with a local glass guy. Its the 2nd replacement windshield and it sucks having taped on registration tags.

taped on registration tags?? i no get it

In Texas our registration and inspection tags are on the windshield. Luckily the guy who did mine was pretty good and he was able to restick them with only a little border of tape around the tag.
