Hi gang,
After a winter of scraping, my (2014) 5's windshield has a whole lot of fine scratches. I'm actually careful to check that my scraper and windshield don't have any grit before I scrape, and I haven't seen this on any other car I've owned. I certainly wouldn't have expected to see this at the 5,000-mile mark.
I'm feeling as though there's some coating on it, that is maybe not quite up to the rigors of -20F and the general punishment this winter has inflicted. Has anyone else experienced this, or heard about a TSB or anything? It's not affecting anything (other than my happiness) yet, but another couple of years at this rate and I'll need a new windshield.
Dave
