I would check with your local autorities or local authorities webpage. On that page it says NC is simply legal. But there are limitations and specifics involved to all states and I assume the same is true in Canada.sgryzko said:Wow that is really helpful. I was convinced that in Alberta that front windows were legal to tint because I see lots of people with dark front tint but I guess not. Maybe I will tint the front anyways but that might land me some tickets.
Hey thanks alot for that website. It confirms my suspicions that we in AB arent allowed front side tint at all. I dont know if its worth it to tint my rear windows darker. My rear windows are already approx. 50% (COMPLETE GUESS) so it might be too much of a hassle.MinnowGT said:canada? woah you're talking crazy now. (screwy)

quick search on google gives this

VA doesn't allow tint in the back window? What kind of madness is that? @_@milmoejoe said:Yeah, that's not specific enough
I know VA only allows 50% in the front and 35% in the rears and no rear window.
sgryzko...to clear up the legal thing where we live...it's illegal, but if you keep it light you shouldn't have much of a problem. Even if you get a cop that's being a dork, they'll usually just rip it off on the spot and skip the ticket. Failing THAT...it's a $35 ticket with no demerits or anything...no biggie!sgryzko said:Its just so when you reverse at night, you can actually see behind you.
A better number would be like 50% rear windshield.
Imagine the car in VA with the maximum for everything. Lightly tinted front driver and passenger windows, darker rear windows, none on front or rear windshields.
How weird would that look???
