Will Unichip support my mods?

vodas is selling the unichip for $650 .. but i think he is located in hawaii, so shipping will add extra cost to that. i am interested in a unichip that is local to me here.

i found a local unichip tuner through the Unichip website.

I emailed them and they quoted me $130/hr for dyno and tune. so i am assuming it takes roughly 2-3 hrs to tune the car.
flat rate USPS is only $7.70 in all 50 states and I beleive it would fit into the flate rate box, there are 2 sizes

But the Unichip Boost is set a 10psi with a 12psi peak right?

Right. but remember that 10psi on an engine with no additional timing or a/f control (just a boost controller and stock ECU) for extended length of time is risky.

On the other hand, an engine at 10psi with full timing and a/f control is definitely alot safer. (rockon)

so I guess you just set ur BC at 15psi. What's the difference from 12-10psi from 15-? psi with the chip?

This is not a matter of 'not supporting your mods'... It's a matter of the stock/default/standard maps not being tuned/set to do that. What you are planning on doing is beyond the realm of what most Unichip users want. It will be

The current maps were designed around stock injectors. There has been some, but not a whole lot of interest in new maps for bigger injectors. This is something that I was hoping to have done by now however. Once I'm able to produce the bigger injector fuel maps with Unichip US people will be able to send their box to them directly to get upgraded.

TorqueFreaks, the service department next door to me here is suppose to be getting the software to tune Unichip. So I might be working with them to offer new maps.
but without tune it those maps are not going to help, because all cars differ in what they need to run right

the bc that came with the unichip made my car run from 9-18 lbs so i am running my own bc and that is the most boost i can run before the car leans out

good but not fast. i to tune it to get any horsepower out of that 15lbs. right now its at 201 FWHP 228 FWTQ

was there something wrong with the Unichip EBC? is that why it was spiking and not holding boost properly?

the unichip is made to hit 12psi then back down to 10

sorry... i should've quoted him.

I have a stock MSP, and had problems beating my friends 05 Civic SI. Probably mostly due to hesitation. But after installing the Unichip, I can beat him by 2 car lenths.
