Why is it that people in the cheapest cars get the nicest rims?

I don't think rotas or konigs are bad. They aren't expensive. But they aren't bad ricer wheels.

I wonder about the strucural integrity of the wheel when you see them replicating a forged wheel design with a cast product.

people buy cheap rims because they paid 23k for new ms3...and on hondas forum they can get nice volks, enkei or other s*** because they bought honda for 1 k max withou pain job( they dont care), than they swapped stolen egine for 500 bucks and cut out cats for free
1000+500=1500 for the honda.....we spend for ms3 =23k so hondas guys saved 21 k for rice mods and nice wheels.....here is my answer
honda =(moon)

Buddy at work just bought some super nice Enkei's for his Integra. He bought 15's because he couldn't afford the 16's.

Its all about preference whether you got a 30k car or not. I think anyone would love to have $3000 volk on their cars. Its all about being original or not. The TE's for my Z cost 3200 and I never ever regretted it.

The tuning game is not cheap. You gotta pay to play my friends. When you are making big power, gotta show that yur car means business.

I didnt buy expensive rims my self ,because Im college guy and money that I didnt spend for rims that cos 3k I can spend on bigger intercoler tbe and make really nice power.... thats my point :)

Smaller the rim = less alloy/metals used = cheaper? Thats my only observation. Looking at the same rim in 18x7.5 and 18x8 sizes almost always the 8in is more expensive (common sense).

not all the replica wheels are casts of forged wheels...

Well sure not all are that way but the ones I would have wanted to get are. Look at these wheels in this link they are RE30 ripoffs visually they look great but I would not buy these wheels because for one they are probly very weak given the fact that they just copied a forged rim sedign with a cast wheel. Two, they cost $800 I got my enkies for just under $1000 so sure I paid a little more for a real brand but not much more.

sORRY

when you guys see the 2 honda racing eachother, it's sounds like lawnmower racing
This anti honda thing is silly. When I bought my Tenzo DC-5's which were less expensive than the Works emotion.I was buying a bit softer wheel and only somewhat lighter than stock 21.7. But I wanted a wider tire. And 2 of my stockers were damaged. So old school kinda, 90s, wheels on. Now Hondas or whatever that is not Mazda. This is my first Mazda and i love the car, and i mean i would marry it kindof love haha. But the Hondas I know range from jdm all motor to forced induction at 30+ psi on stock internals. And this is done inexpensively because there are so many intrchangeble parts and a market that has covered every aspect. My car is pretty quick and my son in laws WINTER
car melook like I am standing still. the del Sol.try to be open minded I come from rear wheel V8s Do my wheels seem on the the cheap?

Yeah but I don't really have respect for a company that has built itself on replicating higher end wheels... It's like those rediculous Hyundai commercials comparing them to Lexus or Landrover, sure you save money but you're still driving a cheap korean car that has yet to prove itself in the industry and you're definitely not better then your competition.

hey arent you half korean. kim is a korean last name. but i guess you are thai too. dont bash your kind. hehehe(lol2)

=] the FIt doesn't boost! that said; most of the people on these forums like the "sleeper look" all stock but packs a punch. Paint the stockers and dump that bi*ch to the ground.

Hey I'm not bashing I would love to see Hyundai come up and make a name for itself and they are to a certain degree... Their quality has improved over the years and with the new Genesis maybe they'll actually have a ballsy platform for tuners. Heck maybe KDM will be the next big thing.... riiight

I just don't like how they tend to replicate other companies styling and then market their cars like they're waay better then their higher end counterparts; very much like Rota. "Why buy a Lexus when you can ride in a Hyundai for half the price..."

Sure you can go ahead and slap some Rotas on your Tiburon, but its still not the same as rocking Volks on an IS...

I agree about the honda thing there is WAY to much honda hate going around. As far as the tenzos, I am not really familiar with the tenzo name as far a if they are a quality manufacture or not. There wheels do seem to be on the heavy side.
