With an Audi A4 or S4 or TT or TTS try to race Mazdaspeed3's on the street? Anyone ever notice that? Is it because of the number of recent college graduates that buy Audi's thinking they 'made it big' in the world?

I've found such a great respect across the board for our genre (WRX, Lancers, etc.), but the Audi folk seem to be intimidated by our presence.

(shrug)

I get that a lot here in Long Beach. Also get a bunch of N/A Eclipses trying to race me.

No, that's not what I'm referring to. I'm referring to a allegedly "mature" age group. (whistle) Your dad bought your car. You live in long beach gtfo out of my thread.

This.

Audi is the new douche-mobile. Top-Gear even labeled it so :) ...well, they call it them "c0cks" instead. It's the same here, 20-somethings buy them, usually used and high-mileage thinking they are CEO's or new addition's to the Jersey Shore TV show. They are "the situation".

soooooooooooooooooooooooo funny!

Oh, and here in c-town, we don't get too many of the said fancy audi's. So not so much a noticable thing here!

I don't think we can generalize. I get challenged by all sorts of cars, more typiclly "ricer" types that actually know what a Speed 3 is. I don't think most Audi owners even know the difference between a regular 3 and the Speed 3.

Guys that are serious car nuts (some of them Audi owners) do read up enough on what is out there that they might want to compare performance via right foot to the metal encounters.

BTW: I have a friend who is very well heeled financially. His ride: 2010 Audi R8 5.2. V10 (Lambo derived engine), 525 hp, mid 11 second quarters at close to 125 mph, top speed is 196. Yes that is a 9 in the middle of that 3 digit number. Those numbers are before any mods. 0-60 is only 3.3 seconds. I've ridden in the car. Its quatro launch is brutal. You don't want to mess with it, and no, he does not go around looking for MS3's to play with.

For what it may be worth, I can pull on an S5, but that's about as far as things go as you move up the Audi food chain.

I never really get challenged too much. Revved on a bit but not too many challengers. I have gotten a TT to challenge me, later figuring out it was one of my friends older brothers. Hah. I didn't race him... it was a month after I got the car and I wasn't willing to race.

Had an S4 with all kinds of shiny new exhaust and wheels flyin down I43 Milwaukee, staid behind hin tell one of those side of the road radar Speed Tell went by and I saw 98 in traffic, decided he was a clown.

I always get challenged by drivers, almost at least once a week. Audi drivers are definitely the more common challengers, then infiniti/nissan drivers.

^ you can still get in hella trouble for that too. It can be said that you initiated the race.

Just be careful with any of that sorta stuff...
