Why do i have to log in twice

ok, so when i delete my cookies occasionally, and then re-visit the site, it of course omits the right hand new thread section. so i go to the bottom and log in, and the right hand side appears. now i click on mazda forums and boom its gone again. upon logging in for the second time, its always all good. kinda wierd and annoying. any reasons?

well only time i have problems is, when i log in to protegemp3.com and i click on link to protege5.com..i am always logged in to protegemp3.com...

that could be, that im logging into protege5.com and the thread is located at msprotege.com or whatever.
