why did I just loose to a 2002 si??

I'm paranoid about my warranty because i dont have the ways or the means or the knowledge to fix my car if anything major went wrong due to mods...

Maybe It's the benifit of living in Canada, but I've smoked every Si-r, Spec-V, 1.8T and SVT I've come across, Usually by at least 2-3 car lengths by 3rd gear. And a stock MP3, twice with at least 4-5 car lengths.

Glad to be Canadian.

Come on down and we'll line up and find out.

Don't be shocked if your car runs like crap down here.

:D :D :D :D

Oh, trust me - it can get hotter up here sometimes than down South!

The two times I've "raced" it was cooler outside. On the hot days I don't bother trying to push the car. Mine doesn't stumble, it just plain stalls. So that in mind, I'm very cautious how I drive it.

ok,, I just realized.. when we launched.. we had mad wheel spin (cement)... when I shifted into second, I think I was still spinning.... sooooo.. that is why I bogged out in second....

JDM sam... arent those to high? all power drops off at 6000 rpms I thought... I dont know... just a thought

even if power drops a bit, keep in mind where your RPMs are falling to when you do shift!! ride it out..

and you're right about the "minivan" look.. i always thought the new ones look like miniature Honda Odyssey's.. haha

What's the diff between a Regular/Premium RSX? I flew by a Types-S in the process of taking my avatar Picture. Buy the way, Mazda says it's limited to 210 km/h (roughly 130mp/h) but mine wouldn't cut off until 220 km/h.

In the Pic I'm doing 212ish Km/h

Before the safety consious members tell me to slow down and not give a bad name to MSP owners, I was on a road where 270km/h could be done safely.. the RSX was the only car in the area.

Oh yeah.. the MSP would have pulled all the way to the redline without that cut-off. The Cut off is VERY violent.. I reccomend only reaching it once. I plan on 219 km/hr as my max.

Ah, leather interior and sunroof I believe; both 160HP. I'm not talking about the Type-S though.

I think that the Premiums are only a 'Canadian model'; kinda like the Acura 1.7 EL.

didnt they design and test this car in California? where its always hot? i dont get why they havent realized the hesitation issue

umm, I am going to back the guy that says I love being canadian with this car because my p5 smokes a brand new 350 z accross an intersection and then I die. but really most mornings and days around this time of year have very cool air and man oh man can you feel the difference.
now I am thinking that the best route to make your msp work well (if you don't mind spendin the cash for the big upgrade) would be to get a standalone fuel management system and a really nice intercooler. Man oh man would you feel the difference.

I think they knew about it but didnt want to delay the release any longer.
Here's a note, it's 90 frickin degrees here in Fort Myers today! The stock intercooler isnt doing much for me today, plus its humid as nuts!

i swear my fuel got cut off at 130 mph... and i wasnt close to redline yet... i guess not all cars r the same..

Hmmm

Anyone every take some TEC's and add water tanks to the ends of a FMIC?

Small tanks on either end with the tecs mounted in them.
They make a model that has a submersible end to cool water coolers and such very small and can cool a lot of water.

Be nice to have 60 degree water cooling you FMIC on a 98 degree day. I used a couple on my water cooling PC rig.

Go with my solution for the problem of hot weather, Larger intercooler with a NX N'tercooler kit spraying onto kept my temps way down. ;) Also on the shift points those are almost identical to the ones I used to make my runs and it worked great.
