$400+ is just insane for a DP! (boom07)

Now not including overhead I personally could probably whip these things up for under $100....BUT when you factor in the monthly lease payment on a $200K bender, the $50K laser cutter, and a $1500 tig welder you can't sell them for $200 apiece and stay in business when you're only moving a qty of 5,000ish a year.

I learned this the hard way with exhausts on my cars lol

Average cost for an extra bung welded in where you want it for the bung itself let's go overboard and say 30 dollars.. Average price of 10-15 depending on where you buy it. Average shop time for local welder, charging you one hour labor to cut the hole with a hole saw and weld in the bung with their 30 plus years of welding experience 70 bucks, last time I had one done down the road here, he told me if I showed him where I wanted it and he could get to it he would just charge me 20 bucks to weld it in.
Now the mandrel bending is where the money is at. Like stated before somewhere the machines are expensive.. Plus the limited number of our cars and the lack of interchange with others.
From my turbo experience a 3 inch flange into a 3 inch downpipe you can run a single 3 inch all the way back or you can split it out into 2 2.5 inch pipes into your choice of mufflers., Either way they both rate about the same. AS for adding more power well there is a little to gain but more importantly less restrictive allowing the turbo a quicker spool up time. I think it was maximum boost a book by corky bell been years since I read over it but that should be on the desktop of all the new turbo owners and at a 20 dollar price tag not too bad of an investment for the knowledge it posesses.
Feel free to flame and as for a turbo timer none of my cars have them, my SVO is well past 200k miles and the turbocoupe at a 120k. The main problem was the weak valve seals ford used and now has discontinued.

go look at an evo or dsm downpipe they don't include a 02 housing...
evo or dsm
downpipe - ~$200
o2 housing - ~ 150-200
