Whose running w/ Kumho Ecsta ASX 215/45/18

Is anyone out there running with Kumho Ecsta ASX 215/45/18s? I've already burned through the OEM Potenza's with 15K on them. I didn't mind the tire, but want something I can run in mild snow and get some decent tread life.

I push my car a bit for fun, but not a super-high performance need however I don't want to lose all handling and performance either.

Feedback appreciated as I have to replace my tires soon. I barely passed inspection, thank goodness I have a good relationship with the guys @ the inspection shop.

Man I love this car, but these tires geez...I've never had to put a set on a car so quickly, even my old MX-5 which I thought chewed them.

We run these on our Protege5. 205/50/16. I like them. They're pretty grippy when driving spiritedly and do pretty well in the rain.

sgt Id recommend a set of 17in wheels with dedicated winter tires. I got a set of 17in Sport Edition F2 wheels with Blizzaks for $1000... Then a set of dedicated summers on your stocks... Best of both workds with no tradeoffs...

Hands down a great tire.. plenty of grip and much more quite than stockers.. I think Kumho says not to drive them in freezing temps. You'll be better off getting a dedicated set for winter use.. I keep mine on year around, but the car is not a daily driven car... more like once a month. But if it ever becomes a daily it will get winter wheels and tires.
