no...I was in the Army...watercraft operator (88K)...I remember reading about you once being in VA, now in Hawaii....just thought about it cause there was only 3 duty stations for my job...VA, HI, & Puerto Rico (once it was Panama)

Watercraft operator? Is that like the inland tugs or the patrol boats? I saw the Army's new TSV (Big ass Catamaran) when I was in Bahrain last year. Sweet as hell.

I was on a 1600 Series LCU (landing craft utility)...the USAV Commando LCU 1675....it's a flat bottom boat capable of intra-coastal waterway travel & open sea (but you get your ass kicked in 10ft+ swells) It was the only active 1600 series, and we were dive detachment support (got to go to Key west, Panama city FL, Virgin Islands, Bahamas, etc..) real sweet. We also did Tugs, Mike boats & LSV's (you've probably seen them in HI)

wait, what happened to your car t3ase ?

I slightly tore up the hood, scraped up the front bumper and dinged the passenger side pillar & roof when I hit one of those roadblocking barricades. It hit the bumper and flew up and over the car.

Soooo, now I'm going to get them to repair some of the things and get some new parts for the car in the process.

yeah...good old fort useless....I'm glad I'm out now (got out in '98) but I miss the free trips to the caribbean! And Hampton roads was a good time (beach, clubs) but the traffic always pissed me off (I64 sucks down there). Hope you're havin' fun on your tour...If I re-upped I would of requested HI....would have been a blast!
