Who uses LED bulbs in their car?????

I'll take a pic of mine, installed with the help of the 99 protege wiring diagram, but I the colors may not match. You only need the resistors for the blinkers. All the car bulbs from superbright come with built in resistors for normal operation. The blinker resistors just simulate the normal load a blinker bulb normally puts on the system.

btw, I have XM as well, and mine sounds perfect. are you using the FM modulator or a direct AUX input? (I am using an AUX input)

I'm not sure which wire it is but you can find the wiring manual here if that helps: http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=93725

Do you have the XM MyFi receiver? I had that at first and it sounded like crap with both the home and car kit. I took it back and got the SkyFi2 and it sounded a lot better.

Thanks a lot, that helped. I had the resistors in the right place in the front turn signals, but didn't realise that the signals were wired in parallel, I was hoping I could just put two resistors on each side in the front.

It looks amazing how it is currently set up though, I've VERY pleased. The front and rear are bright but not too bright, the sidemarker looks even (at least at night).

I'll have to try to get some pics at some point, but here's something for comparison. The rear turn signals (which I got in red) are just a tiny bit brighter than the tail lamp (when the brake pedal is not depressed). With the radial and end mounted LEDs it looks nice and even at night, the only way you know it's LED is that it turns on and off so instantly.

The front turn signals look great, at night they are bright enough as to not be drowned out by the headlight bulbs. The side markes look bright at night too, only problem is they aren't the same amber color as the front signals.

I ordered it all through superbrightleds, with the 4 packaged resistors and 2 day shipping it was under 70 dollars.

Direct aux input. The antenna I have is really tiny and says it has to be put somewhere where there is an unobstructed 12" X 12" square of steel, which can't easily be done on the protege5 roof due to the AM/FM antenna. Some channels sound quite noticeably better than others (yet still not nearly "cd quality").

I had mine originally installed on the trunk, but it started scratching it. I now have the antenna in the rear window, and the quality is no different.

who? what?

Here are the pics of my right side resistor installed. You can see which wires I used, and how I mounted the resistor. I may end up moving it, but I think it will be covered by the plastic.

its got tons of automobile bulbs that use LEDs instead of filaments. awesome person to deal with. fast shipping and good prices. there have been 1 or 2 bulbs that havent worked right but he'll usually ship a replacement right away.

ive used the interior 194/168 LED bulbs. depending on which bulb style you get, they can look pretty sweet. nice bright white color. not as bright as a brand-new incandescant when it comes to the amount of light, but it does provide more than adequate amounts and the brightness of the light doesnt fade as the filament wears down over the years/months.

without scrubbing the website for the info, are the resistors included in the LED lights?
