I still love mine! I just payed it off!
Ive been dreaming of no car payments for 4 yrs now!

Congratulations, I had been paying mine down (big) when I was working but now that I'm not I just make payments. It's just aroundthe corner for me too.

I still love mine, owe less then 3k now and im plannin on keepin it for at least a couple more years till i can upgrade to and evo or m3, but will always have a thing for this car no matter how many years later. i am planin on a fmic and a hks turkey killer. after that i think im gonna lay off perfomance upgrades for a while. also just bought a winter beater, 92 blazer for $1400. ive been driving it to school and snowboarding to save miles on the msp cause they are both 40miles away. but now being away from her for that time, when i get in her, it makes it that much more special

yep, still love it. won't get rid of it for years. can't find anything that has a better balance of performance, economy, and comfort. any of the little things i like on new cars can easily be implemented on the msp. to get these traits without having to spend big cash has been great.
i just wish the weather was nicer and i had more free time so i can drive it more.

I still love my MSP! Even though she's been gone for 2 years now :(

hey Jersey, i love how we both have thumbs up ;)
good times man.

I think I love my car even more than when I bought it.
I have injen cai, dsm afc, and mbc.

The afc is by far the best mod I have and the car should have driven that way from day 1. I have been fortunate not too have any problems with my car (knocks on wood) except for stereo malfunctioning (replaced under wrnty no problems since) and the exhaust tip cracking (also replaced under wrnty and no problems since).

i love my car, spicy ftw. Ive been to utah, washington and now new mexico. From all those locations my MSP has faithfully made it back to San Antonio TX to visit family on vacations. I believe rite now i will keep it and maybe pass it to my kid or nephew eventually. I would love to forge the internals up the boost to 14psi daily driver. CF hood/trunk, upgraded LSD (still stock) 37K and rollin. Upgraded gears. GT spec everything. And of course a FMIC setup. I think that should set me back about $10,000 or so.

Damn! Everytime I buy a go fast part I fall in love all over again lol.

But I must say I will be parting with it in a year or 2. Unless, I can afford a new car w/o trading the speed in.

(upbum) omg how the hell did you survive that reck there jerseyemt? damn hope mine never looks like that. i love mine every time im in her, hehehe.

did you reset it? mine f's up all the time, mostly after playing MP3 burned cd's. Funny thing, mazda dealership says, dont play burned cd's it will mess it up. (shocked)

it's still a really really good car for my purposes. I'm in college, so i need something with room, but at the same time i want something fun and competitive at autox. Now i got an extra set of wheels with Hoosiers so i can terrorize D-stock....really couldn't be happier with the car.
I haven't had any problems yet (knock on wood), but after school (i'm a sophomore now) i will sell--probablly for an EVO or something.

How do you reset it. The display doesnt come on at all.

I bought mine used 4/05, couldn't drive it for a year, added a couple things in that time. I actually had to sell my beater 'cuz I was WAY short on cash. Could've sold the MSP and not had any payments, but that was not even a consideration. After reading so much on these boards, I know what to expect problem-wise, and know what to expect power-wise with the mods I want to do. I live in a town of 20K+ and NOBODY has ANYTHING like it. I get looks everywhere I go and get a number of comments on it every single week. I look out the window at it from home/work and just grin. It makes me sick to my stomach to drive it now in the winter, especially since we've had a 6-8 inches of snow in the past few days.
I fukn LOVE this car, there is no way I ever get rid of it. I may get something faster, I may get something "nicer," but the MSP stays in my family 'til I die.

2nd motor, 2nd diff. lots of frustration- still my favorite car to drive. its just such an experience compared to other cars even in stock trim. its just much more involving and fun to drive than anything else ive driven especially when you are driving at the limits.
