I got a BLACK totalled protege 5, different one than what i posted before, and wanna do this.

-front bumper (possibly.....got some mean slashes in em)

one question.... does the p5 have the mounting clips for the side skirts? i could use those.... the ones under the car, not the ends

I'm grabbing the car from the guy tomorrow after work. Luckily he lives like around the corner from me.

Bryce, i'll try and pull off those mounting clips to the best of my ability, but yeah...i'll sell em to you.

Vern, the guy i'm getting the car from needs the hatch, but i'm not sure about those hinges, so i'll see for sure tomorrow when i grab the car from him without the hatch.

And Thomas, if those windshield bolt covers are there.....they're all yours.

I've been searching forums trying to look up a basic how-to for the swap and conversion.....not much info. Just people voicing opinions. But yeah, my friends did 4 to 5 lug swaps on 240's a lot, and most of them are mechanically inclined.....so hopefully they help.

I'll let yall know how it comes along slowly.

oh yeah... and that little plastic screw from the rear door that holds the panel on... i could use one of those.

I tried calling you but it was to late... If you need help i'm down to help strip the car..
I never did a conversion before but this is what i remember when i changed my front bearings and rear wheel hub bearings..

After strippng the p5, match both front and back wheel hubs to see if everything matches up. The front hub is pressed into the fat bearing which sits into what ever you call that arm? rear only has 3-4 bolts that you can unscrew easily.

Interested in some parts..
1. motor
2. front driver/rear passenger door actuators.
3. Stock struts if not blown.
4. front/rear stock speakers.

I'd be willing to help, but I'm pretty deep in my own projects on my house, and on the car.
The swap isn't very difficult. Once you get the parts off the car, you'll see how they just bolt up.
Do one side of the car at a time, so you have a reference to look at while you're re-assembling.

If the plastic clips are still good...could I have the ones that are in decent condition? Plastic clips...the ones on the door lining...any loose bolts that are still in decent condition would be awesome too. And the clip/cover thingies on the left side below the steering wheel where the fog light dimmer button is.

Hehe.... i might have some clips still attached to my car... not sure if there still good though... cuz when me and Nate took off my stock sides we literally ripped them off... but your more than welcome to see if any are still good.

One problem though, i never mounted my sideskirts the OEM way, so i don't know how to do them either. haha. i just 2 way stick taped the centers, and cable tied the ends. haha.

All the door panels are still on, so i'm sure they're all still good. But that might when change if i try to take the door panels for you, haha. But seriously, i'll try save as much of those as possible for you. I know my car needs like 3 or 4 of em, so i'ma grab a few for me, and the rest you can have.
