Who is using a J-spec cam?

Anyone have a j-spec intake cam?
thoughts opinions?
I'm debating on getting this, but would like to hear some reviews on how well it performs and how hard of an install it is.
thanks

there are turbo proteges using these cams, including LinuxRacr and Kooldino. Kooldino said it allowed more airflow into the engine using the intake cam.

an install for one cam would take about four hours.

Really? I wasnt aware of that I thought these cams were geared toward the N/A guys.

actually, you stand to lose horsepower on an N/A setup if you use these without adjustable cam gears. the thought is that these cams would overlap too much for a turboed engine but LinuxRacr's experience is that this is not the case.

wait, so u lose hp with the j-spec cam? what about all the people that felt gains?

i have seen a dyno where a few horses were lost by installing BOTH cams and not cam gears. the engine would pull differently regardless as it would be breathing differently, hence the "butt dyno" effect.

I noticed a nice pull from 3500rpm - 5500rpm. a little better fuel mileage. and the car
doesnt run as rich

i debated on the jspec exhaust cam but in the end
i purchased the aftermarket mazdaspeed cam set.
my engine is still in the rebuild stages. ill let you know
how the overall performance comes along.

The aftermarket "mazdaspeed" cams and the J-specs are the same. The cams are so small there isn't any issue with FI.
