Show me pictures of your rides if you have aftermarket rims but haven't lowered your car (or if you just have pictures before you lowered it). I'd like to find a wheel/tire package that will look good w/o lowering.

Please provide wheel size, offset, and tire size.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not lowered.. if you are coming to the NEPOC Install Day on the 24th you can see my car before and after. I don't really have any better pics of my car, the one in my sig was taken from an 8th floor window with a 1 megapixel cameraphone. I don't think it looks all that bad. I don't remember the offset of my wheels, but the tires are 215/40/17

I don't want a rough ride. I'm looking at Rota GT3 16x7s with 195/55/16 or possibly 205/55/16 tires. The extra sidewall would be to fill out the wheel well instead of droping the car.

my ride with 16's.....not dropped. will be in 2 weeks 3 days! getting rid of the big wheel gap......

Hmm. See, that's what I want to avoid. What size tires are those?

sp 5000's (OEM).

they could take 205's and keep the same reading. they are 7 inch rims.

you could go 205/55/16 to fill gap a little more.....i have my pro-sports getting shipped tomorrow!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking... Here's my car with 195/65/15s (snows) which is the same diameter as the 205/55/16... It looks better than stock but I guess there is still some gap.

What's it cost to lower anyway?

Price:

Springs: $140 - $240
Alignment: $79-$99
Install: NEPOC install day (shop $85-250????)

I would like to keep the low profile tires. Think they look nicer.

i think 205/55/16 tires will look good. i have azenis, they're probably a bit bigger than most other tires, but they fill up the wheel well nicely, and will probably reduce the gap a bit.

*on p5 rims

Maybe I will pickup a set of springs and head on over to the Install day. Keep posting pictures though. I need convincing.

It is advised that you get shocks also. This is where most of the cost comes in especially if you count labor. Your stock shocks are likely to be busted soon after lowering...

Busted aye? Do others agree?

C'mon people, there has got to be other people out there who haven't lowered yet.

That would be me. I just bought rims/tires but no suspension yet.
