Thanks for looking I need help, I have also posted in FI section.
My MSP hesitates between 3500+/- Rpm and 5300+/- rpm.
bugs crap out of me.
Also I get CEL on when i run the car hard, it will turn off few days later after normal driving. I have scanned the car and the only code in there was that it was running lean.
I know there are few MSP badasses in here that could help, so please do.

*subscribes*.. I bought my MSP ECU from protegegarage.com, I don't know if it is flashed or not. I know the flash was to do something about hesitation.

usually the flash gets rid of the hesitation, that was casued from too much fuel. Do you ahve a boost gauge hooked up, what is your PSI? It sounds like you might be over boosting and hitting fuel/ boost cut. Does it pull real hard then jerk or is it a true hesitation? Have you checked/ replaced your vac lines? Tried doing a vac check on the actuator? I am not really certain why you would be running lean unless you are bringing too much air in. Our cars run rich as s*** so you shouldn't be seeing lean, not at the RPMs you are describing. Where are you located?

I live in marietta, I have not done any vacum checks, I am total noob when it comes to FI(I know basic principle and tat is all). the car is completely stock, and i don,t think that i am reaching a fuel cut because i know what that feels like. so if i could get specific instructions about testing vacum lines i would appreciate it.

btw i am not sure that running lean has something to do with it, i just threw it out there to see if it has anything to do with it.

I live up in acworth if you feel like taking a trip up there i can have a look at the car for you. The hesitation you are feeling is more than likly the stock hesitation that occurs with mostly all msp's. The cel coming on could be numerous things but the first place i would check would be the MAF. That would cause the car to go lean or throw that code.

I really don't like sound of that, can that be done away with?
btw, I don't mind driving up to acworth, I used to live off of old 41 Kennesaw/Acworth, when do you think you will have time?

Yeah, flashing the ECU fixes the hesitation supposedly.

Would hitting 9.3-9.9 consistently when in boost be a good indication that I'm having some ultra-rich hesitation issues? My wideband is in my corksport downpipe (way close to the turbo) and according to the NGK instructions being that close would make it err to the lean side of things..

Look for a bunch of mazdas and other assorted cars...and a dodge (I'm just kidding Kev :p) parked at the bottom of the lot. I'm sure one of us will have some mazda attire on. If you can't find us, have the GACC paged at the front desk ;)

i had the same problem. all you have to do is go to mazda and get them to reflash the computer and it will be fine. if you have an aftermarket bov on there that causes fuel cut to at low boost. but reflashing will help or fix it.

got my ecu flashed today, but for what ever reason when stopping at the light it wants to stall. any ideas?

hmm. try disconnecting your battery, press your brake petal for about ten seconds then reconnecting it, this resets the ecu. allow your ecu to relearn the air curve and see if that helps.

ok I will go and do that, probably tonight, would anythig spacific cause this, maybe a crack in a hose?

maybe a vac leak but I am not too sure

Yeah a vac leak could cause that, but what are the chances of that.. dealership didn't need to be pokin around under the hood, and I really doubt a vacuum line would just up and break all of a sudden like that :P

ok, it is all good now, one of the hoses seperated from the turbo/inter cooler pipe. fixed(first)
