Who has installed a dual gauge pod pillar on their MS3

I recently purchased the dual gauge pod pillar for my MS3 from protegegarage and I was wondering who has done an install? If so, any pics and how were the results?

Is the fact that there is an airbag there going to be a problem? I would think so. I would get a center pod mount if I were you.

the airbag is a deal killer. I don't want my family photos post accident to include my wife explaining why Mr. Swampass reads 15 PSI all the time. A gauge lodged in my eye socket will make finding eyeglasses that fit a difficult proposition.

LOL.. I see your point. I already have my gauges setup in my steering column w/ a dual gauge pod by perrin. I just wanted to change it up a little. I see that i rather stay with my setup or purchase the center triple gauge pod for the dash.

I'm in the same boat kinda. I bought a mearcat pod from the Aussies. While it was $70 predrilled, shipped, and with a visor....it still beats re constructive surgery if a blue hair sets me in her cross hairs.

The airbag is fine. The only fear is that you don't want to put in screws on the bottom as they will puncture the bag. Other than that the bag deploys down and the A-Pillar pops out to the right about 2 inches but does not come off.

I trimmed mine and also heated it in places to ensure it fit the pillar well. I then drilled the pod first and used those drill holes to drill the pillar. I didn't even take the pillar off. Because I didn't put screws in the bottom, I let the rubber weather seal hold it down and used a touch of superglue to be sure. You must trim and heat the pod to snug the fit or you will have gaps without screws.

Here is the finished product and to me it looks very good.

Did u buy the dual gauge pod pillar from protegegarage? What did u use to macth the interior color of the pillar? Looks nice.

Also, I like the fact that u cannot see the wires. Where did u run the wires through so that I can have an idea when I install mine (if I decide to keep the dual gauge pillar)?
