Who else is waiting impatiently for the 2016 CX-5?

Are you saying the AUS and US versions come with the same options (but of course in opposite driver positions)?

At the end of the video I thought I heard him say the steering might turn a little in the opposite direction when trying to initiate a turn?
Sounds weird.

Yup, the 2015 Australian version is the same as the 2016 US version, just with opposite drivers side. Im in Australia and I took delivery of my cx5 TODAY, im soooo happy with it :)

I got the Akera model in Soul Red and White Leather interior which is the same as the US Grand Touring model, similar bells and whistles, however i know Australia have the Folding side mirror option and the US doesnt, Also the Australian model has a side view camera, not too sure if the US has that option...

Nice, same as mine! Let's see some pics.

I'm in CA. I had a look at the price list that was posted earlier: AWD with GT trim was $29,470 and the two Technology and i-Activesense packages were $1,505 and $1,500 - so the total comes to $32,475. I think the $34,750 was pure price gouging ... unless that price list varies by state and CA has different MSRPs.

This Puente Hills dealer has MSRPs listed on their site that look more like you were thinking - if you are in the LA/Orange County area of CA...

No pictures up yet, so maybe still in transit.

I heard that once there are pictures of the actual car, then they have the cars on the lot.
Similar to this dealer in Phoenix with two posted cars with their dealer tags on the back.

edmunds.com also has the MSRPs based on zipcode.

I have the FWD GS model at home tonight for a test drive. I am really liking it so far. Not really liking the deal they are trying to get me to sign. No incentives. I am going to try for at least winter tire and rims. Basically I am getting it at MSRP. I guess thats the issue with waiting for the 2016 model. I didnt really love the 15 I took for a weekend and it was mostly due to the Interior entertainment package. Like the new system on the 16's though.
Wish I knoew what the standard negotiating package most people get when they buy the CX-5's but I guess that would depend on the area you live and the amount of cars the dealer moves.

Where are you located in Canada? My dealer here in Montreal would never let me take the car home, let alone let me drive it alone.
Mazda's are so popular here it's hard to get anything better than MSRP on newer models. Even had a dealer jack up the price because demand was so high.

I've been offered a 2016 GT with tech and active sense for $30,400. What do you think? Sounds pretty good to me. Only problem is its in AZ so either I pay for delivery or I go pick it up which wouldn't be too bad seeing as I'm in So Cal.

Sorry to spam, I posted this in another thread as well but time is of the essence as I leave on vacation Friday morning. Long story short a salesman gave me an e-mail quote of $27,995 for a 2016 GT with Tech and i-ACTIVESENSE. They list MSRP for that package as $32,045. I figured it was a mistake so I asked for the vin# to go along with his quote. Immediately the Internet Sales Manager calls back and admits the mistake but says he wants to do right by me and offer me the car at employee pricing. He calls it "eplan" pricing. His offer on the table is $29,674. $2,371 below MSRP for a model that is still sitting on the back lots of most dealerships while they push the 15's. I jump on this yesterday right??!!

I am in Nova Scotia. Think my local dealer is one of the first in Atlantic Canada to get the 16's. I bought my 3 at the dealership and I work for the local government so have a good relationship with them. The problem I am having is that they will not budge on pricing and trade in for my 2010 3. I dropped the 5 off this morning and said i'll sign the financing deal if you put on a winter package of tires, rims and mats. He said no that he was at his cost....I snickered. Said I would call him in a few hours with my answer. Pretty sure I am going to walk away.

Which trim are you getting and what's the price they are offering you?

I am looking at the GS FWD. The selling price is $31,240 plus tax and usual fees. 2.49% is the finance rate posted....which makes me a bit mad. I am in Canada though so everything is more expensive. :(

Yeah, pricing up here sucks. You should be able to get a 1% discount on the posted rate by taking advantage of the owner renewal program.

Yeah I guess the posted rate on the 2016 is 3.49% so the 2.49 is including the discount. Sucks. Starting to shy away now that they won't include rims and tires. This winter is a rough one here in NS for snow and storms. Another coming this weekend.

Absolutely!!
Thanks for the support man. I'm just a little leery thinking if something sounds too good to be true it probably is. I asked him if I could get an email with his quote alongside the vin. He read me the vin which matches a unit on their lot but declined to send an email b/c he "doesn't want a paper trail" since he is giving me employee pricing. The one thing I could see him saying when I show up is that the quote did not include destination which is like $900. If he tries to pull that though I want him to say it to my face. It's a 40 min drive so a potential of 1 1/2 of wasted time but I figure it's worth it on the chance I can actually get this thing under invoice!
