White with gold rims?

Should I powdercoat gold, stay stock silver, or go with another color?

Ok, I know it's not a mazda, but still... I like this community and I want ya'lls honest opinion. This is a photoshop I did of my stock rims with a gold powdercoat. Think I should do it? ($50 to $60 a rim) Or should I stay with the stock silver (check sig). Or pick another color you think would look good and post it.

BTW: It will be dropped with better rubber, and the Type-R front lip after my deployment.

so you're saying if I go gold, I should get a set of 17's with a polished lip?

I think you shouldnt waste your money on powdercoating your stockers and find some nice aftermarket ones. Yes Gold w/ polished lip are sweet on a white car.

I agree with what has been said. The gold looks good, but for the money you could pick up some nicer wheels that will probably be much lighter too.

What they're saying is, if you're going with gold, it would look better on an aftermarket rims instead stockers. However, if you insist on powdercoating your stockers, I would say go with gunmental, or something relatively dark. Simply because it would cover up how the stocker looks and I think gunmental would look great on white.

What about a lil darker like this? I don't want a dark color contrast, I like being able to see the contours of the rims, not fade them out with darkness.

Thanx to babyodyssey from EPHATCH.COM for this one! I think it looks better dropped.

I think i'm leaning toward some wide 17's, gold with polished lip now... too many negatives on the stock rims, but lots of feedback on the gold color.
