WARNING: HUGE PICS

i had one of the most memorable days of my life yesterday. thanks to phil, bryan, mike, andy, james, and ray for coming out to cheer our asses off.

ive been to sold out sporting events (sox games, bears games, etc) and this was definitely the biggest crowd i have ever been apart of in my life. in fact, i wouldnt doubt that there were more people there yesterday than there were the day ken and i came down for the taste of chicago. it was unbelievable. like paul konerko said on stage, "maybe we'll have to do this again next year." (thumb)

1. the initial crowd at washington & lasalle awaiting the arrival of the players
2. i stood up on a fire hydrant to see how many people there were. this wasnt even taken on lasalle where the parade took place, it was the next street to the west (clark?) literally a sea of people as far as the eye could see
3. willie harris, carl everett, aj pierzynski
4. aaron rowand
5. dustin hermanson & bobby jenks

btw, souvenirs acquired yesterday:

-WS champions pennant
-a foam basball that was being thrown off of the ComEd float. i made a highlight reel catch to grab this.
-a handful of parade confetti (sounds weird, but i couldnt resist)
-a wonderful experience that i will never forget (priceless)

i heard one estimate at appoximately 1.7 MILLION people. although, i dont know how you could estimate how many people were actually there

Aerial photos - litterally count the number of people over a square area (say 100' x 100' section) then extrapolate to get your estimated number based on the square footage/mileage that an event covers. It's a quick and cut an dry method, but is usually pretty close.

with the way the bears are playing, maybe we'll have a super bowl parade next year...

...ok, probably not

My dad recorded the thing on tv, I watched it last night and got to hear what everyone said. The thing I could have gone without hearing was the lead singer of Journey singing, that was terrible, i loved how they kind of cut in with the fireworks.

Overall I had an amazing time with all of you guys. I'd love to go to something like this again, would be great if they could do it again because I'd love to see something like that again.

Thanks all of you guys, Mike, Jose and Amy, Phil, Bryan, James, and Ray for a great time and helping me get onto my train, probably would have been ****** otherwise.

Now I leave you with this.
