whistle on acceleration

it's a long, steady, increasing-in-sound whistle while u accelerate, then when u shift it's a bird chirp...........it is normal, just not every MSP has it.

Most turbo cars make somewhat of that sound. It's pretty much all that turbulence going on in the pipes.

Imagine sticking a tornado into a hollow pipe. The fourthcomming pressure will induce high frequencies within the pipe as it reverberates.

Or just picture a whistle and pretend the ball bearing is the turbo spooling up.

I don't notice it anymore though. I am not sure if its the 450 watt system it came with, and i just always have it to loud, or after a couple thousand miles it goes away, or with the coller air of winter it goes away.

kind of off topic.... but its about noises. Anbody got a wierd ticking coming from what seems to be the turbo or manifold area under the heat shield, at idle?? its worse when the engine is cold. and its pretty damn loud. Just looks for some more feed-back. I posted about it before but didnt get much input. Its trowing me off because it doesn't seem to be rythmic

Yeah, thats normal lamp3. Its the device ontop of the the intercooler->throttle body pipe by close to the throttle body itself.

i had the same kind of whistle in WOT when i started looking around i found that there was a piece of metal with a hole in it lodged in the tip of my exhaust where it came from i have know idea but the whistle was just enough to be heard from is side the car i pulled it out and never heard that whistle agin!!???

I hear SpicyMSP is very trust worthy...She is the biggest reseller for Protosport. Search for her on this forum. All the aftermarket stores will **** you on the price.

my turbo whistles. It whistle louder now that the boost is up. Sounds cool but makes my friends ask too many damn questions.
