Which type of gas/fuel/octane?

10% ethenol, you filling up at Costco? At least they have to post that. I typically dont get that great of mileage on 10% ethenol fuel. 100 Octane is probably leaded as well, like the 110 race fuel, I would make sure you find out. One or two tanks wont hurt but your cats (if you have any) wont like the lead.

E85 is 105 Octane come to find out... Pump, injectors and tune will net you massive HP gains with E85. You will only get about 12 MPG though. Guess it is big in the EVO scene right now, rumor has it anyway.

93 and I stick with Shell whenever possible. I used the same gas in my old 350z. Some people want to get by with 91 and save 20c/gal but personally I'd rather spend the extra coin and make sure my car's running right. I have this thing for at least 5+ years lol

you use to. i haven't seen it a while. i use 93 in my car.

yepppp. Sunoco at one time had 94, but I havent seen it at any stations in the area in years. Im going to say its been a good 10+ years. Ive been driving for 9, and I know it wasnt around when I got my license. Almost always fill with Ultra 93, never Wawa or gas station brands unless im out in Pennsylvania and the only thing around is Sheetz lol. Even then Ill stretch my tank to get as close to home or major brand as possible!

I will run 91 with no KR at all... If you are not having problems with 91, running 93 wont make a difference unless you have a 93 tune on your AP or something.

I like shell 93, I get better mileage with it than any other brand/octane that I've tried.

Would be curious to see the comparisons... Only time I get worse is with ethenol added fuels. Typically higher octane will land you worse mileage when not needed. Stick with what works though and makes you comfortable. Nothing worse than worrying about your car or what you put in it!

With Shell 93 and Cumberland Farm's 93 I typically get 26-27 with my normal driving schedule, Irving 91 gets me 23-24, and Mobil 91 gets me 25-26. I've run a couple tanks of each, but mostly Shell 93.

My thinking is that with a higher octane fuel the MS3 ecu reduces the amount of actual fuel injected *I think* because of it's closed-loop fuel adjustment capability. And 93 has lower amounts of bad hydrocarbons like benzine that are bad for your engine. It costs a dollar more per fillup to do 93, so I figure why not?

I dont think octane would have anything to do with how much fuel is added, the gas pedal does that. The octane only manages compression combustion.

91 is about the highest you can get around here unless you go for sunoco race fuel. but then again i think 91 is recommended so that's fine.
i was wrong btw. 93 is the highest around here and what i usually get. just realized that when i filled up a few minutes ago lol.

Nope, he lives in Florida, where all gas is required to be 10% ethanol, because Governor Christ drank the global warming Kool-Aid and didn't bother to read up on the junk science behind ethanol. (notcool)

The scary thing for us is that while the signs say "up to 10%," and the state mandate is 10%, many gas stations are serving up as much as 25% ethanol in their normal pumps. (I have a friend who works in the automotive service industry, and they sent samples from various stations for chemical analysis.)

While the fuel system in my MS3 may or may not be able to withstand the higher corrosive properties of ethanol, I'm sure this is going to start slowly killing my Supra's fuel system.

93 octane Shell V-Power in both cars unless I am in a pinch. But I always go 93, and try for brand name vendors- Shell, Mobil, BP.
