Protege Garage pipe for $199 (free shipping)
or Turbo XS for $156.50 shipped?

Price wise, obviously Turbo XS wins but I was wondering if anyone had any input of personal experience with one over the other. Thanx.

Do a search on the Turbo XS pipe. A few fitment issues will pop up.

Ahh...I tried to search but had a bit of trouble narrowing it down to what i really wanted to see. Thanx for the info.

Yeah, I've heard of a few fitment issues and others have no issues at all. It makes me wonder if the issues are user error while installing the product or actual test pipe error?

I just found it. I guess out stock downpipe flange is rounded a bit and the Turbo XS test pipe flange is flat. I can see why that would be a bad mach up but it doesn't really explain why some had problems and some haven't. It may be worth the extra $40 to just not deal with it and get the other one.

(Salesman routine!)
Not to mention...
* Wideband o2 sensor port included, no extra charge
* Thicker walled stainless steel piping for better resonance and strength
* Thick waterjet cut flanges matched to stock measurements - no generic off the shelf exhaust flanges like the competition
* Precision TIG welds to ensure no breakage
* Mandrel bent one piece design, unlike the competition

I just installed a TXS on mine and it fit good.It has no leaks as far as I can tell. The only thing is the front bolts came loose on me after about 3 days.I bought 2 more nuts and put 2 on each and no problem since.I did the same thing to the rear flange also. Its been about 2 weeks or so now and no problems. Some people have had problems from what Ive read also.

I have a protege garage test pipe. Its nice, its inexpensive and its quality. If you dont have a wideband 02 sensor gauge, youre going to have to buy a plug to screw into the pipe for the time being. Ken should be including these as they arent only a $1.00 a pop, so i hope he starts adding them.

There are other test pipes out there. I wont start an war over it, but i do support the sites approved vendors unless theres something i do need, that they dont carry. Be aware, theres a vendor out there not approved who will lie his ass off to sell you his pipe. Last i looked, it still wasnt available.

i got the PG test pipe and felt an immediate difference in spool time and midrange power. the guy who installed it said it wasn't exactly a perfect fit though... it seems like a quality pipe but i've only had it in for a few days. beat a ws6 from a roll so it must be doing its job.

Thanks guys! I'm pretty much some as of now. I was all "pro Protege Garage pipe" until I saw the TUrbo XS one on the site yesterday and got curious. Now...I'll still just get the PG pipe. Probaly in 2 weeks to a month, cash pending. Thanks again for all the facts and stuff!

yeah, i still think the PG is the best one out...

just make sure they send you a gasket, bolts and a plug. :)
