Which sunroof?

Hi guys,

It's not going to be till I get my income tax's back but I'm too excited to wait. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a sunroof put in my MP3. Which do you guys think I should get?

These are the best installed prices I've found on these 2 types. All are the hallindia or something close to that.

Slide out w/ inside shade 675 + tax.

Slide in w/ inside shad 1000 + tax.

It'll largly depend on how much money I have left after buying new tires w/ my refund. But I'm definately torn between the 2. I like how slide outs look personally, I think they add a sharpness to the car or something. But slide ins are always awesome too.

Your thoughts?

moonroof = slides into the roof of the car

sunroof = slides up and out over the top of the car



sunroof is waaaay cooler than moonroof, it's like a mid spoiler!

I can't believe someone actually voted for the t-tops already. That would be cool. To have the first and only mp3 with t-tops. oh yeah.

T-Tops would kill your handling in a massive sort of way.

personally i would not go w/ an aftermarket sunroof... it will leak within a few years,.... unless you can get a long guarantee.... but personally i would go w/ a sunroof that slides over the roof.... looks nicer when driving.

Well the slide in one comes with a lifetime parts gaurentee and the slide out one has somewhere around 5 yr/ 50,000 mile warrenty. So there's is def an advantage with the slide in.

i think the on top roof looks awesome, the mid spoiler idea...love how it looks on my friends 2000 2.5RS, but even though that car is super similar to the mp3, i cant picture how it would look on an mp3......
