no offense taken i think they both suck... be to stay on topic. Compare the 350z to the g35, kinda the same thing depending on your tastes.

so not enough trunk space in the Z, does that mean the g35 is out too?

get a stock evo. dont get the MR. check out the recent edition of motortrend because they compare the stock one to the MR and to the RS. the mr and the stock evo ran 4.7 to 60mph and also the evo mr quarter mile time is 13.1(the stock time is 13.5sec quarter mile) it's not a difference you can see speed wise. also, on the 600ft slalom the times were 70.1 for the mr and 70.9 for stock. the only big difference is braking from 100mph which stock is 322 from hundred and 316 for mr, but from 60mph it's the same 111 feet. i would say save your $6k for something else. i think its a great car for the perfomance. also, you get four doors because you never know whats up ahead. that's my opinion for your selections. the other cars are good, but they dont perform better than the evo. the 330i is nice, but i would only recommend it to someone who is looking for a good family car, and/or wife car(not being bias to it because i love bmw, but it's not even comparable to the evo unless it's seriously modified). the 545i is your performer bimmer(bmw wants $60k+ for it which is carzy). i dont think the g35 is worth its money either. i think that car should be worth like 30k even fully loaded, but it's not. so i think i've stated my opinion good enough. a stock evo would seem good for you, but if you perfer the evo mr, then knock yourself out.

Well the whole idea is to get it all at once with the bank loan. If I had an extra 6K to spend I'd get a stock something and mod it to hell.

then just take out the loan for the lower amount

I'm sure you'd be more than happy with a plain ol' evo ;)

I'd be proud to own a slightly used evo W/O wing ;) any donations can be made to my paypal account!

Shinka RX-8 with Mazdaspeed Magnesium rims and coilovers... I think that'd put you a bit over $40k though. Maybe just the 8 touring pkg with Mazdaspeed suspension and few $$$ left to bump the ponies up a bit.

Ever consider these cars? Not the fastest, also not as common as cars listed above.

well i think $6k can go along way for something else, but that's my opinion

The only reason why evo RS is compariable to MR is because RS has nothing in it. No trunk mats, floor mats, stero, speakers, engine bay noise mat, power windows alarm and etc... Its a stripped down race preped car. It is not for every day driving. I'm not even sure if it has A/C.

I'd stay away from the STI

"We've seen previous speeds up to 104.6 mph for an STi quarter mile, but have been told that fresh Subaru engines don't loosen up until they've seen at least 3000 miles on the odo (ours had about 1200). We've also been told that engineers at Subaru have reflashed the ECU for 2005 to avoid cylinder detonation (pinging), which we've experienced in our long-term 2004 STi" - http://motortrend.com/roadtests/sedan/112_0410_evowrx/index4.html

ouch.

Rs has a "Urban Jungle Option" that gives you A/C and I beleve power locks... You loose abs hids "Whale Tale" wing and the Dif is difrent

What are the odds theses vehicles have 0 Mileage?!?!

i dont like the sti, it doesn't even have a/c(not that i use a/c, but it's good to have just in case) i think a stock evo would do fine because it's fast enough. i dont think it's worth the extra money to up everything by a second or less for $6k more, but that is my opinion.
