Which Mobil1 0W-20 for 2013 Mazda5?

:
mazda
Mobil1 does not have the regular full synthetic 0W-20

I would drive less than 5k/year. That makes the last one more relevant - also lowest price:
Mobil 1™ Annual Protection 0W-20 (upto 20k)
Mobil 1™ Extended Performance 0W-20 (upto 15k)
Mobil 1™ 0W-20 Advanced Fuel Economy

When I searched, I found a link that does not talk about Mobil1 - I use Mobil1 on Honda and I like it:

Would Mobil 1™ 0W-20 Advanced Fuel Economy a good choice for me?

Been using Mobil 1 0w-20 synthetic advanced fuel economy since June 2011 when I bought my 2012 car new

I personally do all changes every 7500 miles

Car is at 96,000 miles. Doesn’t burn a drop

At $10 for 5 qt can’t beat the price. I have used wix filter from day one

13 oil changes in 8 years = $195 total cost

Awesome - I already bought Wix.

Am I correct 7.5k or 1yr whichever comes first?

Yup. I do mine 7500 miles . It’s my beater

For my other cars that see less than 500 miles a year, I do them yearly

Where do you get synthetic oil for $10 for 5 qt? Mobil 1 at that?

0w-20 M1 Advanced Fuel Economy, M1 filter, every 5k.

Current rebate on 5qt jug and a filter is $17.. dang good deal!

I saw the $17 deal. I just don't use the M1 filter.

I have spent $195 in oil changes in 95K miles. Can't beat that.

Well, M1 AFE is essentially the "regular" M1. Mobil just markets it somewhat differently to advertise better fuel economy in cold weather. Honestly, you can probably go with either that flavor or M1 5w20 and not notice any difference. Especially if you are mostly driving/parking in NorCal. The main draw of 0w20 and 0w30 AFE oil is for those in really cold climates.

I usually use Would Mobil 1™ 0W-20 Advanced Fuel Economy. Change ever 10k km so about 6200 miles
SO far had the car about 5 years and runs ok.
I don't do any oil condition tests at the lab :)

For what it's worth, my 2006 2.3L 4AT did NOT like Mobil1 Extended Performance 5w20. It had never burned oil prior to that before just using conventional 5w30. But with the M1 EP 5w20 I was burning at least a full quart every 2000 miles, and that was in the dead middle of MN winter. Switched to 5w30 full synthetic and all normal again. Probably an anomoly but figured I'd share anyway.

Probably engine not liking thinner oil due to wear. It is a good idea to stick with what works. 1q over 2k is still with in the norm though but annoying to have to add.
