Which intake to get?

I have changed my exhaust and am now looking to change my intake. I am looking at either the AEM Short Ram of the Injen CAI. I drive my pro5 daily and am concerned about water getting in the Injen on wet days. The AEM is less money but does that also mean I get less performance.
What one would you put on your Pro5?
Can someone please help me.

Dude, this VERY subject has been talked about here MANY MANY times....its more personal preference than anything....do a search on INTAKES or CAI or INJEN or AEM and you will find LOTS to read on the subject.....

PERSONALLY...I like the Injen....and I have no fear of getting water in my engine....no I don't have the bypass valve either....but if you could really see where the filter is...you would understand that you just don't need to be concerned with water SPLASHING on it...for it can't.....and as far as driving through standing water deep enough to come in the doors?....

well it just isn't going to happen.....I will park it on the side of the road and sit in it if need be.....after all...the seats recline....or the rear ones lay flat...and there is always a blanket in the back....it would just make a good time to take a nap. :{D

I took your advice and searched. I found you have been all over this forum. Also I noticed that you have the injen intake. That is the one I was first considering and will now get based on your input. I no longer fear the water since other posts have discussed this and put it to rest.
Thanks Sir Nuke:)

yep....I make the rounds that is for sure....I try to keep active in all the forums...you just never know where you will learn something new.....never limit your sources for information!

:{D

btw...your welcome.

well i can offer advice from the other spectrum... i have the AEM and i really like it... it sounds bad ass and i can tell i gained power from the butt dyno... but one negative thing about the aem is the heat soak and if you sit idleing for a long time you really start to get hot air coming in... im making a heat shield that will block the hot air and the filter will pull in the cooler air from outside the engine compartment.... i am probably going to offer this heat shield for all the AEM intake guys out there...
