I am trying to burn mp3s to a cd-rw, but it will not play in the car. I'm using tdk, it says audio mp3 on the case but the s*** is not working. What r u guys using? or is the something i'n doing wrong? I'm also using nero 6.6 to burn.

your player has to be able to take cd-rw before you can play it. Most are only compatible with CD-R. Is the CD working on any other mp3 player? The program you use to burn an mp3 doesn't matter.

I'm using the alpine cda-7897, it reads cd-rw's according to the specs. It's playing on the the cpu and dvd player but when i put in the car it comes up with an error. It will play the cdr but i'm constantly changing songs so the cdr would be a waste.

I'll try the ones specifically for audio tomorrow, if that dose'nt work then i gues i'll have settle with the cd-r's

yes, you MUST finalize the disk.... and for that matter why bother using CD-RW's? CD-R's cost like a nickel each now, who cares if you make a few coasters.

I've tried that to. You maybe it's the disk?
If you tried it in a DVD player and it reads it, it's probably not the disk. I'd keep trying the same disc on other players (friends, family) and try to confirm if the disc is okay.

umm, thsi may be stupid and pointless, but Are you trying to burn MP3's and play them on a player that reads cdrw's but doesn't play MP3's bychance? Use nero and create an audio disc but don't do mp3 do wav.
