Where were you when the lights went out??

Hope everyone made it home OK.

I was a lucky one. Time was on my side today. I left work earlier than i was supposed to. I was in the elevator, and the lights were fading in and out. Then i get out and about 15-20 seconds later, darkness (was in a parking garage).
The elevator door's had just closed behind me. Little did i know that it was a massive black out.
Then i start driving home, and notice the streetlights were out. Then the traffic just got thicker, and thicker....
After hours in traffic, i got home and heard on the radio that nearly the entire northeast had no power.
To think that only a few seconds longer i would have still been in the elevator.
Scary!

I am so happy I wasn't at work today. I work at FOX news and NYC is the main studios and production. They lose power we have to take over-which we can just barely do. I had to be CRAZY there, granted not as bad as being in NYC though.

I was putting in my kartboy and my mom came out and thought she blew something up with the washer and shower and a/c going... Little did we know that whole tristate area was out.. I had no work today!!!!// but i gotta go in late tonight to do some editing.. luck i did not need power tools for my install or I would of been in the middle..
