have we proven it causes problems or no? i heard it had to do with the water pump and stuff on the turbo cars but I also heard there was a way around that, not sure if it had to do with the belts but thats just what i heard.
well, mazda's crank shafts aren't "balanced"...they use the flywheel and underdrive pulley to help with the balancing...and by putting the pulley on a car, it throws it out of balance...causing eventual oil pump failure...which will fry your turbo. so, it'll work, yes...but after a while, you'll have problems.
the best thing to do is replace the pulley/flywheel and have your motor balanced.
I dont even have a turbo. Its just a name I made up for this forum. I have a 01 MP3 w/ OBX 4-2-1 Header, Kartboy shifter, and I want to put a pulley on it. Need to know where to purchase the gates belts recommended by Unorthodox Racing. (puke)
