I've been to home depot looking for the type of tubing/piping used in make intake and intercooler piping. It's looks like it's the same stuff they make under sink pipes out of but I guess they don't sell that stuff in 2 and 2.5 inch size at home depot.
Where can I find this stuff locally so I can make my own??
I plan to make a mock-up out of pvc then take the tubing I find to the engineering Dept and my hospital and have them bend it up for me!!

You'll need a mandrel bender to bend anything larger than 2.5. A normal tube bender will kink it more than Lindsey Lohan's thong.

Hey dude best bet is call around to steel warehouses there's a few in chicago area they'll have what u need. The thinner the wall the greater the chance of ripples at the bend.

AMS used to stock misc piping in various bend degrees and sizes. I bought pipes for my IC on my MR2 there and my friend with a turbo KA 240 got some pipes there also.

when making your own ic kits I see alot of people end up using 30 million couplers on the first setup. then go to a shop and have them replicate it in a more professional fashion.

I'm only swapping to hard pipes, I have no use for a front mount since I have no plans to up the boost over 10 psi, I will eventually do an upgraded smic tho. The plan is to fab everything with PVC then bring the aluminum pipes here to my job and have the engineering dept. bend them and weld them up for me.

if all you need are replacement hardpipes we do carry those

do you have black hard pipes?? I think I mentioned to you that I want to keep the engine bay as stock looking as possible. Obviously the more stock looking it is the easier time I'll have if I ever need more warranty work done.(naughty)

Pipes can always be powdercoated if they are not black.

It would be ten times easier to just buy a det from Ken....No headaches of trying to do it yourself.

Just Simply Buy, Receive, install , and enjoy.

Good point!! It's not so much of a Headache though, I like to do that s***, gives me a feel of accomplishment, plus trying to figure out out stuff like that relieves my stress from my day job.

if you put any kind of hardpipes in, regardless of color, i don't think the dealer is going to be fooled

Not a dealer, you know that ken, J/K. But I will say the dealers around here have never seen or heard of a MSP.

LOL that is true, everytime I take my car to the dealer for something the workers all gawk at it and comment on how awesome it is lol.

OK so I must be blind!! I cannot find hardpipes on your protegegarage.com website!! please post a link! Thanks!

You need to go to a Mazdaspeed dealer at least.
