Is painting your calipers a job dooable by yourself, or would you suggest that i take it in somwhere???

its a simple do-it yourself project. hmm if you have money to get someone to do it for you why not?

A retard could paint his own calipers. For example, I was able to do it. And I'm retarded.:p

I direct you to the How-To section of the forums...

then to the Missouri/Kansas threads, if you're in the KC area come on out...

Also this thread should be put in 'Appearance'.

Painting calipers is easy. You can either take them off completely, or just tape off the rotor and wheel well.

paint is easy.. the hard part is choosing a good cheap paint and knowing where to get it...

Any major auto parts chain carries hi-temp paint. It's not hard to find at all.

Auto Zone has a crapload of Hi-Temp paint...cheap too. Even Wal-Mart has some.

My husband can do it. He did his RX-7 and they look great! You can do it yourself really easy. He will be doing my MSP very soon.

Im painting mine tommorow. I painted them on my old car and they came out good. All you have to do is just put tape on the rotors and spray away. I put three coats. It shouldnt take more then an hour or 2 tops. You wont need to take it to a shop its very easy

cant argue there, and yes, its very simple...just take your time, and mask well

Hey! It's ok for me to make fun of myself. But I have to draw the line when other people start to do it.;)

I used a little bit cleaner approach than spraying onto the calipers.

1. Spray the paint onto a foam brush
2. Paint away

This has less clean up and still looks mighty good.
