Where to buy replacement H7 bulbs for cheaper?

Anyone know where I can get regular halogen H7 bulbs for less?

Where I am, the going price of those are $18 each. Why are these bulbs so much more expensive compared to the highbeam or typical H4 bulbs?

because h7 bulbs are dual element.

Today at my dealership we were out of stock on hyundai h7 bulbs and had to get them from carquest. They have them for significantly cheaper than what we sell them for. You could try there.

what do you mean by dual element? H7 bulbs are single filament.

H4 bulbs are dual filament but they are dirt cheap compared to H7

I think i got them mixed up lol.

i had h4 in my original post before i edited it.

dual element, i meant filament lol.

hyundai h4 bulbs at my work are 18 dollars a bulb. which is why i got them all confused.

I saw a deal on another part of the forums where you can have silverstar h7s replaced if they go out in one year (1 yr warranty evidently). This was from a Canadian dude who was talking about a parts store chain in canada. Anyone know if Silverstars are under the same kind of warranty here in the states?

Bulbs

Did anyone have any issues taking the old bulbs out??? I have small hands, but still had trouble getting a good grip to take the burnt one out. Long story short I scraped off many layers of skin, and still broke the plastic housing!! Please use caution if you attempt this yourself!:(

Walmart, Murray's, Almost anywhere for bout 10-12 bucks man for the standard bulbs not the upgrades

That would be me. It's a factory warranty it has nothing to do with the store itself other then they have to honor it.

I just purchased replacement Sylvania H7 bulbs from Target yesterday for $8. That was $2 cheaper than Walmart and nearly half price compared to AutoZone ($15.50/each - not Silverstars, just plain Silvania halogen).

This was my first time replacing the headlight bulb in the P5 and I wasn't looking forward to it thanks to all the horror stories on here. One "tool" made the whole job a LOT easier - a mirror on a telescoping arm. You can buy these for about a $1 at places like Harbor Freight and whatnot. Stick that mirror down there so you can see how the clip works. I tried for about 20 mins without the mirror and was getting pretty frustrated. Used the mirror once to see how it all went together and it was a piece of cake. I'm average size and don't have big hands so that made it easier. That clip is a PIA if you're doing it blind.

thanks for the info kboutsider. did the store give you any grief? I wonder how advanced auto would be. (they're not far from me).

No hassle at all I just went in with my sales slip and told the lady at the counter I was told there is a year warranty on these bulbs and they burnt out prematurely she looked at my slip and had a new package brought up and I was on my way.

Weird. I needed a bulb replacement in December and went to Canadian Tire, who wanted $36 for the bulb. Fortunately for me, I'm an idiot. I took the bulb out of the car and left the socket on it, not realizing they are 2 separate parts, so I returned the $36 bulb.

Went to Mazda and was very pleased to pay $18 for the part. When I showed him the bad bulb and the new one to show that they weren't the same he just popped the bulb out of the socket and made me feel like a moron :P
