(dunno)i got a rapid velocity module just a few days ago and wanted to see how this thing worked, but i cant find the Intake Air Temperature sensor, im guessing its part of the MAF since there are no two wire sensors attatched to the intake system anywhere along the intake line. Does anyone know which wires are for the IAT or better yet where i could find a wiring schematic for the MAF? Thanks

now...what exactly, pray tell, is a rapid velocity module

it's an add on package to a flux-capacitor.

its supposed to trick the vehicles computer into thinking that the intake system is recieving hotter than normal air, therefore sucking in more air and making the motor run a tad bit leaner. i dont think this will give me much of a horsepower advantage but for economy it should be significant. apparently it doesnt pull the intake amount out of stock regulations, im guessing it just brings it to the maximum all the time. and yea i got it on ebay, i mean im not too crazy about getting it installed asap but i just would like to know if anyone knows how or where to locate the IAT sensor. thanks again

I think its next to the snake oil reservoir fill valve. (sorry bro, I think you got had)

LoL, ebay chips.

Not only useless, but could be harmful.

Think about it, if Mazda could have increase horsepower by whatever they claim, and given the car better fuel economy with a 25cent radio shack resistor, wouldn't it come stock?

Too good to be true usually is, sorry bro.

25cent? it's ebay son, it cost $20...

it's like those anteneas for cell phone. If Nokia could make reception 50% better with just a bit of tin foil...

I love the 'tornado' ads. Race car engineers spend countless man hours on intakes to make sure it's as smooth at possible to make max power. How is a piece of metal that swirls up the air going to make more?

Eric, my recomendation is to cancel your bid, if it's not over. if it is and you already have it, put it on the shelf to remind you to ask first next time... We're a pretty helpful group in the MX5 section.

thanks guys, i bought because i figured 25 bucks is nothing and if it works ill be able to tell in a week at most, if it didnt id take it off, but if all you guys think it would be that harmful then ill just chuck it and call it a loss. i mean i already have roadstersport exhaust, upgraded front rotors and pads and im about to wrap my fingers around a racing beat midpipe so the gains from the chip(if any) would have been minimal. any suggestions for decent motor upgrades and sites to find them? maybe a thread on the forums that covers that for 2006 and up mx-5s? thanks for your advice guys im using it.
