where do u shift?

hey guys im new to the thread picked up a ms3 a little bit ago and love it finally a car that can hang with the big dogs thats FWD (awd is to expensive to insure and crapphy loss of power through drivetrain) that actually isnt a neon and has a decent interior! anyways ive noticed the small turbo runs out of breath around 6k and im wonderin where u guys shift ive heard everywhere from 5500 to 6300 so ur knowledge on the car would be apreciated

If you are all stock I would shift at 5.5 rpms.When you start adding mods you may be able to shift at higher rpms but untill then 5.5 is your mark.

i shift between 5.5 and 5.8, never over 6k but i have intake and 2nd cat delete

stock all my best times came with 6k shifts. now with all my mods i still shift at 6k. by that point my boost falls from 20psi down to 15-16, but you have to consider the gear ratio/spacing too.
