Where can I get one of these?

But where can I get one of police radar detectors for your car?
Can I get one in town?
(Walmart,Autozone,Radioshack, etc.)

Or do I have to order one online?

Maybe do some research online to see what brand/model you want, as well as who sells them. There's a pretty wide range of options and prices...

Walmart has them, buy the best one they have if you go that route. I beleive RS can get them, not sure if they stock them in store. Do you have a Best Buy around or ABC Warehouse or something? Otherwise hit the internet, you will probably get a better price on line as well.

unless you spend big money on say a Valentine 1 then anything else is pretty much a useless light show...if it goes off, its just letting you know to expect a ticket lol

I drive all day for my job, sometimes 10 hours on the road a day, and the faster I get done, the faster I get home. Since there's no hours for me, any time I make up is mine.

I can agree with that. I spent $150 for the 'top-of-the-line' cobra radar detector, and the time i got a ticket, I saw the cop car before the thing went off. Didn't alert me until the cop was within 100 yards or so. Don't waste your money on anything made by cobra...

Yeah, the good ones are few and far between. Basically you have to spend $300 or more, or you're just wasting money.

BEL makes some great detectors as well. The OTR driver for my company uses a BEL Sti and he swears by it.
